Start by reading the instructions that come with the double electric breast pump to familiarise yourself with the model.

Step 1: Sanitize your hands and make sure that all parts of the breast pump are clean. Find a place where you feel relaxed - the more relaxed you are, the easier it will be to produce milk!

Step 2: Place the suction cups over your breasts and holding the cups (not the bottles) start the machine on your desired setting. Most women find that milk will start to flow within a couple of minutes of turning on their breast pump, so try to be patient and relaxed with yourself.

Step 3: Once you’re finished expressing milk, switch off the double electric breast pump, remove the suction cups, unscrew the bottles and put the caps on them.

Step 4: Wash any parts of the machine that touched your body or milk with warm, soapy water and lay the washed pieces out to air-dry. You can then store or use your milk as needed.
